The Gold Coast Standard Remodeling Process
Learn more about our proven 6 step process for a multi-room remodeling project that helps ensure your dream comes to life while ensuring clear communication on your needs and desires.
Step 1: Initial Discovery Call & On-Site Consultation (1 Week)
We'll have an initial discovery call for about 30 minutes to understand your wants, must-haves, and ideas. After that, we'll come to your property for a full walkaround, look at any blueprints or sketches you have, and suggest some ideas. Here we'll come up with some ideas and suggestions to help you make the most out of your kitchen, bathroom, or other living spaces you're looking to renovate and remodel.
Step 2: Budgeting, LOI and/or Contract (1 Week)
Once we've come up with some ideas on your project, we'll start by putting together a preliminary expected budget to make sure we are within your expectations. After you've reviewed and approved the budget, we'll move to draft a letter of intent if your remodeling timeline is months out, otherwise we'll draft an initial contract, give you an expected start date, and start the selections processes.
Step 3: Initial Selections, Floor Planning & Permitting (8-10 Weeks)
Next we move onto floor plans, and material selections. Here we'll draft a concept floor plan, and begin selecting appliances, countertops, cabinets, flooring, etc. Once that is complete, our experienced and certified design team will begin the process of building a photo-realistic 3D model your project that will begin to show you exactly what you can expect the completed remodeling project to look like.
Step 4: Scheduling, Demo & Build (6-12 Weeks Based on Complexity)
We'll go through the meticulous process of filing all the required permits. Once all permit's have been approved, we'll move on to the scheduling, demolition, and build processes. Depending on the complexity of your project, this could take anywhere from 8-12 weeks. You will have full access to our digital project system where you will see status updates, timelines, schedules, and photos of work in progress.
Step 5: Appliance & Low Voltage Installation (1-2 Weeks)
After the build process is complete, we'll begin installing appliances, TVs, and any other low-voltage products needed. We'll work hand-in-hand with you to understand your home automation needs, and begin the programming of basic home automation needs (if specified). Once complete, we'll do a punch list walk to ensure quality of workmanship is to the Gold Coast Standard.
Step 6: Warranty & Homeowner Manual Issuance
Once everything is complete, we'll draft all your warranty paperwork, ensure everything is registered, and create you a homeowner manual with all the paperwork combined in one easy spot to ensure you're covered if you ever have an issue with an appliance or other installed and warranted fixture. Now everything is complete, you're on to enjoying your newly remodeled home.
How Long Will The Remodeling Process Take?
Depending on complexity, pre-set deadlines, seasonal building construction allowances, and permitting time, you should plan on 4-6 months from the day of your initial discovery call.
